At O’Reilly’s, we’ve seen a growing interest in purchasing jewellery and gemstones at auction, and it’s easy to understand why. Each piece and gemstone comes with its own story, representing craftsmanship and natural beauty that stand the test of time.
Auctions also offer the excitement of discovering exceptional gemstones, from brilliant-cut diamonds to richly hued rubies, sapphires, and emeralds. Buyers are increasingly drawn to the sustainability of pre-loved jewellery and gems, knowing they are acquiring timeless items without contributing to new mining or production. Whether you’re looking for a unique piece of jewellery or a loose gemstone to create something bespoke, buying at auction offers unmatched quality and value.
Our monthly jewellery and gems auctions feature an impressive variety of pieces to suit every style and budget. Highlights include gold necklaces, diamond earrings and gemstone-set pendants, diamond bracelets, loose diamonds, and signed pieces such as Cartier, Boucheron, Tiffany, Fred, Theo Fennell, Jar, Bvlgari, Hermes, Georges Lenfant and many more.
Loose gemstones are also a key feature, offering buyers the chance to acquire stunning emeralds, rubies, sapphires, and even rarer stones for their collections or bespoke designs.
We also showcase intricate brooches, unique cufflinks, and one-of-a-kind jewellery that reflects the artistry of their time. Each item and gemstone is expertly assessed by our resident gemmologist, ensuring the highest quality. Whether you’re searching for a finished piece or a striking gemstone to craft something new, our auctions provide an unparalleled selection to explore.

To take part, you can register in person, online, or via telephone. Once registered, you’ll receive a bidding number or instructions for online bidding. It’s simple and allows you to join from anywhere.
Can I view the jewellery before the auction?
Yes, we offer viewing days where you can inspect items in person or view detailed photographs online. Our staff are always happy to provide guidance and answer questions. We also offer video calls for international clients.

Most items have a reserve price, which is the minimum amount the seller will accept. If bidding does not reach this price, the item will not be sold.
